THEATRE AND OPERA

RUSALKA

Performed at Glyndebourne Festival (2009, 2011, 2019), Ljubljana Slovene National Theatre Opera and Ballet (2011), Glyndebourne on Tour (2013), Huston Grand Opera (2016)

Dvořák’s Rusalka is submersed in poetry, romance and lyricism which flow through the entire opera, from Rusalka’s radiant song to the moon aria in Act 1, to the heart-wrenching closing duet in which the doomed lovers sink beneath the moonlit waters of the lake.
